Cylindrical roller bearings are a class of rolling-element bearings that use cylindrical rollers (instead of balls) to maintain separation between bearing races. These bearings are particularly well-suited to high radial loads and moderate speeds, but they generally cannot support much axial (thrust) load unless specifically designed to do so.
