Description
DINAL Gel 5000-C 11/14 Coupling DIN.AL / DIN-AL
Includes 1 x DINAL Gel 5000-C 11/14 Coupling
A Dinal Gel Coupling (also known as DIN.AL GEL coupling) is a type of flexible gel coupling produced by the Italian manufacturer DIN.AL. These are precision-engineered couplings that feature an elastomeric (gel) insert between two metal hubs.
What It Is & How It Works
- Construction: Metal hubs connected via a gel element, often reinforced with bronze rings or rivets. These hubs have ISO‑machined bores (H7 tolerance) and lock onto shafts using grub screws or self‑locking systems
- Flexibility: The gel material allows for angular, radial, and axial misalignment, while maintaining torsional stiffness and transmitting torque smoothly
- Vibration dampening: Gel insert absorbs shocks, minimizes vibration, and enhances rotational smoothness .
Applications
- Connecting tachogenerators, encoders, motors, measuring instruments, and other rotating components.
- Used where constant velocity, four-quadrant operation, and absolute torque rigidity are essential—even with minor misalignment
- Found in automation, measurement, electronics, and precision machinery.
